I felt I needed a journal on this page. My main account has a couple hundred of them listed, and I thought this one looked awfully naked without one

I doubt I'll ever have to make a new journal, I'll likely just keep updating this one with links as it's primarily a point from which I intend to amuse and inform in (possibly) equal amounts.

Of course, we like to play fair around here, don't we? PETA actually has an official presence right here on dA (for reasons which still escape me) in the form of . Note that it's peta2, as "peta" was already taken by someone with the misfortune of being given that birthname (Miss Peta, this account is NOT directed at you, I promise). If you'd like to contact PETA for any reason, you are welcome to do so from this page.

Also, I didn't think I'd have to stoop to posting something like this when I first made this journal, but apparently I was mistaken. If you leave a comment on my page for no better reason than to insult me for the audacious crime of being an opinionated, thinking human being, please note that while there's a small chance I'll reply in kind out of amusement and to embarrass you in a public medium by shooting your attempts at argument into the ditch, there's a much greater chance I'll just report you for harassment and laugh while submitting a screenshot of your suspended user page to my gallery. Firstly, a journal left on my page by the author. I believe this one warrants a spot since it looks neater and more professional than most anti-PETA websites I've seen.
Next, we have good old PetaKillsAnimals.com. You can probably figure that one out pretty easily.

Lucky Cat Rescue Inc. is exactly what it sounds like, based out of Maryland.
This is Petfinder.com, a site dedicated to helping out new pet owners and also finding animals up for adoption. You can also post classified ads for your own animals you wish to find a new home for.
The Animal Abuse Prevention Association.
This is Animal Rescue Inc., a place to adopt rescued strays in Maryland or Pennsylvania. They do not take unwanted, owned animals from their current guardians.
Here is a list of adoption agencies for cats and dogs; several of the links are out of date but many still work.
Here we have SAFE, a no-kill animal rescue program based out of Tuscon, AZ.
Aimed more at domestic pets than wild animals, there's also Pet-Abuse.com
And, since they seem to be making one for every country or region, it follows that there's a World Society for the Protection of Animals.
